Jonelle L. Rocke is the founder of Generation Wealth, an education-based organization dedicated to helping both youth and adults learn and apply the foundational principles of building wealth in order to achieve financial independence. She was born in Brooklyn, NY to Caribbean immigrants of Jamaica and Trinidad.
The most defining moment on Jonelle's journey to financial independence happened when she lost all of her real estate investments in the recession of 2008 leaving her in over $1,000,000 of debt. In addition, she had over $20,000 in student loans! Although Jonelle holds two graduate degrees in educational leadership and childhood education she believes that this was one of the most valuable learning experiences of her life. She learned lessons that could never be assessed on tests or graded in a class. This was one of the most difficult trials of her life but as a result her life’s mission was realized. She knew that she had a responsibility to take the message of financial independence to both youth and adults who have been marginalized in her community, her country and around the world. Today Jonelle enjoys the options that time and debt freedom affords her. She lives her life by design and seeks to inspire others to do so as well.
Jonelle is a certified financial coach who has masterfully combined her almost two decades of experience in the field of adult learning, K-12 teaching and social and emotional learning with her passion to help those in marginalized communities obtain the dream of true financial independence for themselves and future generations.
